Dreams:
Day to day, I try to learn something new related to language. Over the past year, I’ve been advancing my fluency in Portuguese, and just this past week I began learning French. I also make sure to get some form of exercise in—whether that’s working out, hiking, or playing sports.

At Zephyr, my goal is to continue growing our number of repeat clients and to always place candidates in environments that bring them joy, add value to their lives, and contribute meaningfully to the business.

Outside of Zephyr, my goals are to run a half marathon this year and to reach a conversational level in French.

My Magic Powers:​ My strength is connecting with everybody, everywhere! I truly enjoy random conversations in the most unexpected places—farmers at a coconut stand in Brazil in the middle of the night, meeting local fishermen under a full moon. These random interactions are what make me come alive. I feel that much of my growth and many of my life lessons have come through these spontaneous conversations with others.

How I am Human: I can be very hard on myself and often find it difficult to allow myself to rest or have bad days. I always want so much out of life, but I need to have the grace to let myself rest sometimes and not judge myself for enjoying a few guilty pleasures every once in a while! I think I will start with pizza and a good movie this weekend!

Oh Fine, My Experience: ​As an English teacher, I have closely worked with 150+ students from all over the world, helping them achieve English fluency. I feel that what led me to work as a connector at Zephyr is my wide variety of work experience in the hospitality department and the opportunity to work with all different kinds of people. From being a first mate on a tour boat in Hawaii to serving as a Guest Experience Manager at a luxury beach club in Miami, I’ve truly seen it all!

What I Do for Zephyr: ​Connect people with environments that allow them to be unconditionally themselves, and to wake up feeling purpose and joy while heading into the workspace.

Why I Picked Zephyr:​ I was drawn to work at Zephyr due to the way my longtime friend Thalia Durling talked about her time at Zephyr—especially the work culture and the lovely people present at the company. Additionally, it made me excited to work with a team that is united in contributing to healthy workplaces. Sending people to places where I know they will be happy and thrive gives me immense satisfaction, and I hope to personally visit the offices of a lot of my long-term clients one day!

Why Zephyr Chose Ben: Ben was an easy yes for our team. He’s one of those rare people who’s effortlessly easygoing, instantly approachable, and somehow gets even the shyest candidates to open up. His positivity is basically contagious, he brings a lightness to every conversation and every meeting, and our clients pick up on it too! Plus, we get the added perk of living vicariously through his travel stories, which never disappoint. We’re genuinely lucky to have him on the Zephyr team!
